Matsumura Sōkon’s scroll “The Principles of Literary and Military Arts” on display until the middle of April 2013

09if you happen to be around Okinawa at the time and interested in the history of Karate and Kobudō and speak Japanese…  you might want to go to the Prefectural Museum and Art Gallery in Naha Omoromachi.

Matsumura Sōkon, the expert of Shuri-te among the martial arts masters of the Ryūkyū Kingdom era, wrote a scroll called “The Principles of Literary and Military Arts” for his leading disciple Kuwae Ryōsei.

This scroll is on display until the middle of April 2013 in the standing exhibition “Showroom of the History Department” within the Prefectural Museum and Art Gallery in Naha Omoromachi . There is an admission charge to be paid and photographing is not allowed.
